Size of Tour: Range from small groups of independent birders 2-4 persons to joined groups of 8-10 people. 2 Minimum, Maximum 10
Accommodation: Hotels/Lodges/Guest houses /tented camps
Hotel Facilities: Single & double self contained rooms/cottages, large beds with clean sheets and fresh towels, Hot showers, TV sets in rooms/lounge, Internet in lounge/, Gift shops, bars, Up market lodges have Health club/Sauna &swimming pools. Meals served as indicated in the itinerary. Single supplement applies to those who require single rooms.
Dates: Tours are flexible and are available all year round. You select the dates and length for a tour to suit yourself
Choice of Tour: Your either choose a trip from our website or customize a tour for yourself and our guides will assist you find the desired birds. If your time is limited we’ll design a tour to fit your requirement

Travel: We request all our customers to book their flight independently to Entebbe International airportas this gives you much flexibility in choosing the flight and return leg of your journey home.
Insurance: GO Uganda Safari limited strongly advises that you take out a personal health and travel insurance policy before leaving your home country.
Immunization: Vaccination for cholera and yellow fever is required and a yellow fever certificate may be requested as a proof upon entry. Anti- malaria prophylaxis is necessary in most parts of the country. Good health services are available in most towns but you are advised to take out medical insurance before traveling.
Booking a Tour: Book our services through our website by filling in the inquiry form at www.birdinguganda.com or send us an email at email@example.com and copy to Miriam@gougandasafaris.com Plus a 30% deposit through wire transfer and full payment made 45 days prior to trip start. Bank details will be sent to you once booking is confirmed.
- Cancellation within 90 to 60 days before trip starts 15% of deposit will be forfeited or will be kept for future tour only run by Go Uganda Safari limited
- Cancellation 45 and 30 days before trip starts 50% will be forfeited where the deposit would be also included of the total amount paid to Go Uganda Safari Limited
- If cancellation is within 15days of the start of the trip, 75% will be forfeited of total amount paid.
- Post cancellation sum of money to be reimbursed will be sent by wire transfer.
When to go birding in Uganda
Uganda is located within the tropical Africa and lying across the equator gives it a favorable climate year round with two rain season Mar-May & Sept-Nov. Dry season Dec-Feb &Jun-Aug
The country is generally wet and warm with average rainfall from 1000-1500MM the south gets wetter in April and North has rains in Apri, Oct and dry in Nov,Mar. Temperatures are influenced by altitude.
Most birds can be seen year round, however seasons have influence on their distribution. Best time to visit is during the rainy season though weather not convenient but it’s when most species are actively nesting with full plumage &vocal so ease to locate and food is often abundant.
Passage & visiting migrant species both pale arctic &intra African migrants are regular featuring April and depart Oct, others in August and depart April they overlap depending on species.
The Intra African migrants arrive in July and leave December
