Kibale National park has 370 bird species, it’s famous for chimpanzee tracking and highest number of primates 13 out the country’s total is found in this forest.

Forest offers excellent birding opportunities for bird watchers who are particularly interested in forest species and the forest has 370 species out of the country’s total 1060 and this number represents nearly 60% of forest birds. To the western edge of the forest is an adjacent Bigodi swamp a home to the great Blue Turaco and other 200 species.
